Exceptions to the Rule
- If the calculated Arudha Lagna falls in the 1st house, then the 10th house is taken as the Arudha Lagna.
- If the calculated Arudha Lagna falls in the 7th house from Lagna, then again, the 10th house is taken as the Arudha Lagna.
These exceptions are important to ensure that the Arudha Lagna reflects the image or projection, and not the exact self or the planet representing it.
